  The issue of capital flight from the Russian Federation remains highly relevant and significant in the context of global economics and geopolitics. This phenomenon, characterized by the outflow of capital from Russia through various means and channels, poses multifaceted challenges and implications.
  Firstly, the forms and types of capital flight from Russia underscore deep-rooted issues within the country"s economic and political landscape. Direct investments being withdrawn by foreign entities reflect concerns over economic stability, rule of law, and regulatory predictability. Simultaneously, capital flight through financial instruments like currency transfers or asset purchases abroad highlights broader systemic weaknesses, including financial market vulnerabilities and inadequate governance frameworks.

  1.1 Definition of the concept of «capital flight»
  
  Capital flight is a popular and recurring theme in the economic literature and in high-level political discussions at the national, regional and international levels, particularly in the current context marked by the scarcity of national resources and the significant needs for of investments.
  Although there is no consensus on a single definition of capital flight, two approaches have been developed in the literature to bring together the different definitions of this phenomenon. The first is a motivational approach, based on the underlying motivations of economic agents to explain capital flight (e.g. risk aversion), while the second explains capital flight based on its negative effects on economy, based on the idea that outgoing capital can be channeled into financing the economy.
