Introduction
The global economy today relies heavily on tourism, which is one of the leading and most rapidly developing industries. For many countries, tourism plays a critical role: it contributes to GDP growth, generates new jobs, provides employment for the population and has a positive effect on the foreign trade balance. In addition, the importance of tourism as a source of foreign exchange earnings, a way to establish international relations and a mechanism for balanced regional development is steadily growing.
In today"s market economy, marketing plays a key role in the success of any business. However, in the tourism and hospitality industry, it has its own characteristics, due to the unique nature of tourism products and services, as well as the specifics of their creation and sale. These factors shape the specific behavior of consumers at all stages - from the emergence of desire to the purchase and use of tourism services.

1. The concept of seasonality in the tourism sector and the main problems of seasonality in world tourism at the global level
The purpose of our (MY) work is to identify the features of marketing in the tourism sector. To achieve this goal, we (I) will analyze what tourism is as an economic sector, what are the characteristics of the tourism product and the tourism services market.
The variety of interpretations of the concept of “tourism” testifies to its versatility and broad impact on public life.
There are many different interpretations of the concept of “tourism”, which reflects the multifaceted nature of the object of study and its diverse influence on public life.
From the consumer"s point of view, tourism is a journey undertaken for a specific purpose (rest, treatment, participation in cultural, scientific or business meetings). A similar definition is set out in the Law «On Tourist Activity in the Republic of Kazakhstan» dated June 13, 2001, No. 211: «tourism is a temporary trip (journey) of citizens, foreign citizens and stateless persons and persons without permanent residence for health, educational, professional and business, sports, religious and other purposes without engaging in paid activities in the country (place) of temporary stay.» Obviously, this interpretation primarily emphasizes the social significance and nature of tourism (Law on Tourist Activities For optimal readability, we highly recommend downloading the document PDF, which you can do below, Kazakhstan, Domestic Law or Regulation, 2017).
The International Association of Scientific Experts in Tourism (AIEST) AIEST has adopted the following definition as a basis: «tourism is a set of relationships and phenomena that arise during the movement and stay of people in places other than their permanent residence and work.» Producers and consumers of tourism products have their own economic interests, thus, production and economic relations arise in tourism (The International Association of Scientific Experts in Tourism AIEST, OFFICIAL WEBSITE).
In practice (KonstantinovaV.A., 2019), tourism is increasingly understood as «a specific branch of the national economy, including the activities of tourism enterprises to provide a range of tourism services and sell tourism goods in order to meet the needs of a person that arise during his travels.»
