INTRODUCTION
A dosage form is an easy-to-use form given to a medicinal product or medicinal plant raw materials (powder, tablets, aerosol, etc.) and providing the necessary therapeutic effect.
The rapid development of the pharmaceutical industry has led to the creation of a huge number of medicines (currently hundreds of thousands). Even in the specialized literature, expressions such as “avalanche” of medicines or “medicinal jungle” appear.

1. The concept of medicine and their classification
Medicinal products, medicines, or medicines are natural or synthetic substances or complexes of substances manufactured for the purpose of prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of a living organism. A dosage form is a state given to a medicinal product that is convenient for practical use, in which the necessary therapeutic effect is achieved [2].
Dosage forms are divided into solid, liquid, soft and dosage forms for injection (capsules, tablets, ointments, powders, solutions, etc.). Medicinal products are grouped according to such criteria as chemical composition, pharmacological effect, therapeutic use, etc. Therefore, the use of most of them is possible only with a doctor"s prescription, and the rest – with careful study of the instructions.
A dosage form is a form of a medicinal substance that is convenient for practical use and is necessary to obtain an optimal therapeutic or preventive effect (solid, liquid, soft, gaseous, or aerosols). Solid (dense) dosage forms are medicines of solid (tablets, pills, powders, granules, capsules, briquettes) or dense (pills and boluses) consistency, loose (powders, granules), rounded or oblong (pills, boluses, pills).
