  1. Internet in the Modern Society
  Internet is definitely of great importance for any modern society to function well. Modern people have to keep up with a hasty lifestyle. They have to perform so fast that often they suffer from not getting enough sleep. To make their daily routine quicker and easier people need the aid of tools and gadgets. Fortunately, nowadays there is a great amount of Web applications to help people to organize their job responsibilities, to change the way they communicate, exchange information, purchase or sell products, or do business.
  Now there is a powerful tool to be commanded – the Internet.
  Internet stores a great amount of data. It has a power to transfer it to any computer connected to the world wide web. Now students don"t have to wait for books to study in a library, they can just download or read them online. Internet users can learn about the latest news in any time convenient for them from online newspapers or any other online media. If one needs to learn about some particular news the internet provides a great tool called search engines: all one needs is just enter a search keyword and get all the information on the theme. Any films, songs, concerts and many other interesting files can be download fast and totally free.
  Considering the question of communication, the internet plays an important role in this area as well. Now people can easily send messages by e-mail programs and chat with other users just in seconds, and all this is for free no matter in which countries communicators are. Also people can easily exchange multimedia and communicate more conveniently thanks to invention of hypertext. The Internet helps to make online meetings in doing business and many other “connecting activities”.
  Though in spite of all its benefits, there are also some threats for the internet, like viruses and Internet frauds, such as phishing and pharming. Phishing is sending emails from a trusted source which will then trick a victim into giving them his/her vital financial or/and personal information . While pharming is redirecting Internet users from legitimate commercial websites to counterfeit web pages to trick them to disclose their credit card number etc.
  To prevent these uncertainties people should take some precautions. For example they need to use antiviral programs and avoid opening web links from strangers.
  
  2. Role of Family in a Modern Society
  Some people are convinced that the role of the family has degenerated nowadays. But many people disagree with this point of view.
  Firstly, nowadays most families are not so big and close as it used to be. I believe this is the main reason why the role of the family has decreased in a modern society. Secondly, young people nowadays are trying to become more independent. Moreover, there are so many institutions to bring up children: kindergartens, schools, Universities. After a recent economic default, both parents have to work to earn money for their families, so mothers have nothing to do but give their children to the kindergarten quite early, therefore they have little time to devote to their families. In addition to this, the role of friends has increased, they help our children to get education, to find work, to solve problems.
