    The problem of inequality between men and women in the modern world is very actual and manifests itself in various fields - in politics, economics, art, science and, of course, in the field of labor relations.
    In employment field the term “gender pay gap” reflects the difference between women’s and men’s salary. It’s also called a gender "penalty" when women earn less than men. This gap is might be partly explained by the different levels of salary in traditionally female and male professions, partly by the level of education and another necessary skills. But there always remains an inexplicable part of this difference if we have mostly totally equal characteristics of employees. So the pay gap today is a synonym of gender discrimination. There is a stereotype according to which employers (under equal conditions) prefer a male employee because he is more reliable and will not go on parental leave.
