  Relevance of the research topic. The category of modality is one of the most important and urgent problems of modern linguistics. Quite a lot of works are devoted to it, both in Russian linguistics and in foreign ones. At the same time, there are various opinions on the question of the category of modality in modern linguistics. This is explained by the complexity and diversity of this category, which permeates all levels of the language. The research results show that at the moment there is a need to expand research on this issue on the material of various languages.
