  INTRODUCTION
  
  Study of lexical and grammatical means of transmission of the future action in modern English is very urgent today. It is clarified the great amount of grammatical investigations of every aspect of the modern English language. The study of tense and temporal systems of a verb in the modern English language is broadly covered in many works of Russian and foreign linguists. Tense system plays also the great role in the theory of translation.
  As for future tense, its position in the tense system of the English language is very debatable. Linguists can’t settle their minds concerning its essence and means of transmission in the language. Some linguists even insist on the fact of absence of future tense in English. Thus, the urgency and topicality of the theme of the work is defined by the necessity of further investigation of future action and its representation in the modern English language.

  CHAPTER 1. Future tense in the tense system of the English language
  1.1. System of English tenses
  
  Tense system of the modern English language, or temporality, by the terms of A. Bondarko and E. Belyaeva, is a functional and semantic category which expresses the essence of physical and philosophical aspects of time. Temporality is realized with the help of different language means: set of grammatical, lexical and joint units. Nevertheless, A. Bondarko and E. Belyaeva confirm that the core of temporality is grammatical tense [8: 19].
  D. Sinkevich thinks that temporality must be separated from the so called grammatical tense, for temporality is a syntagmatical feature of tense category, while grammatical tense is expressed in the English language by means of finite and infinite forms of verbs [13: 151].
  Thus, from the pure grammatical aspect tense category in the English language is a morphological and syntactical category. More over, this category doesn’t coincide with temporality. Temporality is much broader than grammatical tense category as it includes both grammatical and lexical means of time expression in the language.
