  The XIX-th century became some kind of a turning-point in development of a world science and culture. It has much bigger influence on the present level of development of the new and latest technologies, than it can seem at first sight. Let's talk about the most interesting scientific and cultural achievements of the XIX-th century.
  First of all we should understand such fact that exactly in the XIX-th century science became professional, and the word “scientist” began to mean not simply highly educated person, but specific profession of a certain part of the well-educated people. Imagine: how many professional scientists nowadays faithfully serve various branches of science to make life on our planet even better than now?
  It is really difficult to imagine our life without telephone now, isn’t it? And the beginning of this invention is in the XIX-th century also. In 1866 the first transatlantic telephone cable which has connected America and Europe has been laid, and in 1876 Alexander Graham Bell has invented the first telephone.
  It is really difficult to imagine our life without conditioner; and security alarm system, which also have been invented in 1858.
